Children's Programs

PSI has several collaborations with local Tucson-area organizations that offer programs for children:

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and Arizona Water Education for Teachers project at the University of Arizona

PSI provides support to Earth Camp for middle and high school students each summer. Each year, forty students participate in exciting field-based opportunities in which they work with scientists and educators to explore water, conservation, geology, astronomy, and leadership.

Children's Museum Tucson

PSI provides support to several programs throughout the year for young children. The Out of this World Camp offered each summer and fall for children ages 6-8 is a week of fun exploring our solar system. PSI also participates in many outreach events at the museum throughout the year including Science Saturdays.

Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona

PSI provides support to astronomy-related programs in schools throughout Southern Arizona. Activities range from in-class comet-building to school-wide Family Science Nights, and community-wide solar observing events.
