PSI’s Colorado office hosted the Mars Workshop on the Amazonian and Present-Day Climate at their facilities in Lakewood, CO on June 18-22, 2018. The meeting was attended by an international group of 51 researchers from 7 countries and organized by a committee led by PSI’s Dr. Isaac Smith. The workshop featured sessions on Mars' recent and current environment and surface processes, including studies in glaciology, geomorphology, geochemistry, and atmospheric and climate sciences.  Dr. Bruce Jakosky (CU-LASP), Principal Investigator of the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) mission, provided a keynote presentation on the history of water on Mars. One day of the workshop was devoted to a field trip led by Dr. Brian Hynek (CU-LASP), with visits to various glacially modified landforms in Rocky Mountain National Park.
