Elizabeth is passionate about educating girls in science and technology in areas that otherwise would not receive education. In 2016, she went as a tagalong with a mission group to the slums of Kisumu, Kenya to take telescopes and astronomy gear, with the assistance of AWB, to an underprivelged girls boarding school (Akili Foundation) and to help finish the build of the school. To this day, she still supports the continued building plans of the school as it is growing and accepting more girls from the slums and she is also helping to support the Women's Empowerment and Outreach Center of Akili, designed to help educate adult women of the Ubunga and Obambo Slums for those who are wanting to gain life skills and education that wil help them gain the knowledge they need to find jobs that will help them escape the poverty cycle they are stuck in.
