Jones received an MS in Geosciences from the University of Arizona in 2009 where she worked on HiRiSE, using high-resolution data and imagery to geomorphically map Hale crater, Mars, and estimate volume of water mobilized on impact and implications for early Martian climate. She also worked as a Research Assositant at PSI where she conducted research on terrestrial and Martian dune fields and channel networks. She also designed interactive classroom activity to teach elementary school students about planetary geology. Before rejoining PSI In 2014 as an Education Specialst, Jones was an Education and Public Outreach (E/PO) Specialist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.
